Emirates has unveiled its list of the most sought-after tourist destinations for summer 2025, highlighting a significant surge in interest towards Vietnam, Mauritius, and Sri Lanka. These destinations join Japan and France in the airline’s top five most popular spots.
The airline reports a notable 7% increase in flight searches compared to summer 2024, attributing this growth to rising demand for cultural experiences and off-the-beaten-path itineraries. To cater to the booming demand for Vietnam, Emirates operates 25 weekly flights to the country, serving Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Da Nang, and offering convenient connections from Europe, the US, and Gulf nations.
Booking trends reveal distinct travel preferences by nationality. Emirates noted that approximately one-third of travelers from India, Germany, the UK, and Australia are booking trips lasting more than a month. In contrast, travelers from the US typically prefer shorter vacations of 2-3 weeks.
Despite the strong outbound travel trend, Emirates also anticipates high demand for Dubai itself this summer. The airline observes different patterns: solo travelers from the US, India, and Australia are increasingly combining business trips with leisure stays in Dubai. Families from the UK, US, and India are opting for both short getaways and two-week holidays in the city. Couples from Germany and Australia, meanwhile, are planning longer stays, extending up to a month.
Emirates confidently predicts that summer 2025 will be a record-breaking season for travel activity. The airline forecasts that destinations in East Asia and island getaways will be the primary drivers of this increased popularity.
