Dubai International Airport (DXB) has launched the world’s first smart corridor powered by artificial intelligence, enabling passengers to pass through immigration without stopping or presenting any physical documents.

The innovative AI system can process up to ten people simultaneously, recognizing passengers even before they physically reach the checkpoint, explained Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA).

This new AI corridor significantly speeds up procedures and doubles the airport’s processing capacity. The advanced system is also designed to identify potential violations, automatically redirecting suspicious passports directly to experts in the relevant department for further inspection.

Dubai Airport retained its status as the world’s busiest for international passenger traffic in 2024. The implementation of cutting-edge technologies like the AI corridor reduces waiting times and prevents overcrowding, making the entire airport experience more comfortable for all travelers.
