Al Ain Zoo celebrated International Tiger Day, observed annually on July 29th, highlighting its ongoing commitment to protecting endangered species and preserving biodiversity.
As part of the celebrations, the zoo is hosting special events focused on its Amur tigers. Guests are invited to join a new guided tour, running every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 10:00 AM. This tour offers a rare opportunity for visitors to learn about the unique characteristics and behaviour of the Amur tiger and observe these majestic animals up close.
The tour includes viewing the tigers’ newly designed enclosure, meticulously crafted to closely mimic their natural habitat. It features a spacious open area with shaded resting spots, cooling platforms, water pools, and cave-like shelters for the animals.
Additionally, the zoo has established an interactive educational zone designed to engage visitors of all ages in the learning experience. It’s noteworthy that beyond the Amur tiger, the zoo is home to several other endangered species, including the Bengal tiger, Arabian leopard, and jaguar.
Through specialized animal care, captivating exhibits, and public awareness campaigns, Al Ain Zoo remains a leading wildlife protector and a dedicated champion for environmental conservation.
