A major casting call is underway in Abu Dhabi for an upcoming Hollywood blockbuster, with a prominent UAE-based agency seeking talent for a film strongly believed to be “Dune: Part Three.” Miranda Davidson Studios, which has previously provided background actors for major productions like “Furious 7” and “Star Trek Beyond” filmed in the UAE, is now searching for a specific type of child actor.
The latest call is for a girl, aged three to five, with dark skin and curly hair, for a small speaking role. The filming for this part is scheduled to take place over 15 days between October 29 and November 12 in the Liwa and Al Ain regions. The selected child will be paid 500 AED per shooting day, with a workday limited to six hours including breaks. This follows earlier casting searches for infants and children of other age groups, signaling a significant need for young local talent.
While the project’s official title remains undisclosed, all evidence points to the next chapter of the “Dune” saga. The Abu Dhabi Film Commission had previously confirmed that the next installment would return to the emirate for production, specifically highlighting the return of Liwa’s expansive dunes to the big screen. The first two films in the epic series were shot in Abu Dhabi, using the dramatic Liwa desert as the landscape for the fictional planet Arrakis.
The production is set to see the return of stars such as Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, and Javier Bardem, with Robert Pattinson newly joining the cast. The project will receive logistical support from the Creative Media Authority and the Abu Dhabi Film Commission, with Image Nation Abu Dhabi acting as a production partner, further cementing the emirate’s role as a global filming hub.
