Dubai is constantly growing with new neighbourhoods seemingly being built all the time.

The emirate is famous the world over for its malls and attractions, and is constantly adding new ones that all vie for our attention.

Promising high-tech experiences, luxury retail outlets and incredible dining options, there are plenty of reasons to get excited about new malls in Dubai.

We’ve picked out the ones we’re most hype for below, and let you know about a couple of existing malls going through massive transformations.

1) Dubai Square

Part of a long-term project at Dubai Creek Harbour by property developer Emaar, the Dubai Square will feature “groundbreaking” technologies.

Plans were revised by Emaar CEO Mohammed Alabbar in 2024, with the project first being announced back in 2018. No timescale is in place for its grand opening.

Described as an indoor city set over 2.6 million square metres, Dubai Square will be wide enough for electric cars to drive through. It will be linked to the upcoming Dubai Creek Tower and feature unique concepts in retail, dining and entertainment.

2) Ghaf Woods Mall

Described as a ‘world-class shopping and leisure destination’, Ghaf Woods Mall will integrate nature and technology into its design.

Launched on Monday October 6 by Majid Al Futtaim, it will be the retail and leisure company’s 30th mall once completed.

It will sit at the heart of the upcoming Dhs15.4 billion Ghaf Woods development, and be a first-of-its-kind forest-integrated retail space in the region.

Shoppers can expect a curated mix of top retail, entertainment, leisure and dining experiences to come to the impressive new green residential community.

3) Sobha Mall

Construction has begun on a Dhs210 million luxury mall project led by global real estate developer Sobha Realty and is expected to be completed by late 2026.

Announced in 2024, the 339,000-square-foot Sobha Mall will be based in the Sobha Hartland community and will include a number of new cultural, retail and foodie spots.

The mall will include a supermarket, gym, play courts, a soft play/entertainment zone and a diverse range of restaurants covering different cuisines.

We can expect 35 new retail shops and food and beverage outlets in addition to over 10 new dining options.

4) Liwan Mall

Set to open in the second half of 2026, Liwan Mall will be a new luxury destination in Wadi Al Safa 2.

Construction is underway on the 11,3674 square foot area by luxury real estate developer KeyMavens Group.

The mall will feature luxury retail shops, restaurants, cafés, green spaces, a pool, and a Spanish-inspired design.

5) Villa Square

The Villa Square will feature a curated mix of retail stores, family-friendly dining options, landscaping zones, plus wellness and leisure zones.

Spread across 124,000 square feet of built-up area, the mall will be located at Wadi Al Safa 5 – ideal for nearby residential clusters at The Villa community, in addition to attracting visitors from across Dubai.

The Spanish-inspired design focuses on natural light, open spaces and indoor-outdoor flow, creating an environment that is welcoming, contemporary and aligned with the needs of modern families.

Luxury real estate developer KeyMavens Group is delivering the project, which is currently under development and scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2026.
